Dataton ramps up training program worldwide

Dataton continues to expand and develop its popular Academy education initiative. After a record-breaking 2016 with multiple events on five continents, the Academy has forged ahead with sessions in UAE, Germany and Sweden in the first quarter of 2017. Dataton also recently hosted the first “Train the Trainer” session to certify key staff from its network of premium partners as Academy trainers. The event was attended by partners from South Africa, Hong Kong, Israel and Italy.

Dataton's Academy training concept has gone from strength to strength since the program's 2012 launch. “Certified training is a way for a company to get greater return on its investment in a WATCHOUT system and gives a competitive edge,” says Mikael Ena, Senior Product Manager, Dataton AB. “We put a lot of time into talking to users at trade shows and forums, and we know that even the most proficient ones are eager to continue developing their skills in WATCHOUT.”

Dataton now aims to spread the word on an even broader front by offering training at more locations and in different languages. WATCHOUT experts within Dataton's premium partner network have attended specialised sessions to become certified Dataton Academy trainers. Representatives from partners Penmac AV (South Africa), Digital AV (Israel), MecTech (Italy) and Audiovisual Technique (Hong Kong) were the first to take part in the “Train the Trainer” session at Dataton, Linköping. Mediaservice Rainer Beddig, the Dataton Premium Partner in Germany, is already a Certified Trainer.

Michael Humash, Digital AV, says: “I spent a great week at Dataton HQ and the Academy ‘Train the Trainer’ session was the highlight. We're certain that holding the Academy in Israel, in Hebrew, will raise the level of many WATCHOUT operators, and we're already planning for a Certified User session in Tel Aviv in mid-October.”

“Our premium partners are, of course, all very skilled when it comes to WATCHOUT and the Dataton range,” explains Mikael Ena. “The ‘Train the Trainer’ session ensures that they can bring the Academy concept to users on their home ground. The team at Dataton will also continue hosting regular academies in Sweden and other locations throughout 2017.”

The next Train the Trainer session in May will be attended by premium partners from the UK, UAE, Netherlands, France and Spain.

Dataton will exhibit on stand 4.0-B59 Prolight + Sound 2017, April 4-7.
