Presenting WATCHPAX 4

Dataton presented WATCHPAX 4, a plug-and-play media player with built-in WATCHOUT license. WATCHPAX 4 features a high-performance four-channel output configuration housed in a compact, rack-mountable case. The unit offers four times UHD (4K) playback. An InAVation Awards Technology finalist, WATCHPAX 4 media servers showed 8K output at the Dataton booth. 

New WATCHOUT features

Visitors to the booth got a sneak peek at upcoming features in WATCHOUT.

• Live production IP workflow, utilising NDI technology. Support of Newtek's Network Device Interface protocol enables streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video in your WATCHOUT show over local area networks.

• Redesigned audio engine, with 24-channel ASIO support. Using ASIO – a multi-channel audio transfer protocol developed by Steinberg – WATCHOUT gains exclusive control over the sound device for low-latency access of up to 24 audio channels.

Technology in the booth 

The Dataton booth at ISE 2017 featured WATCHOUT multi-display shows on a 12 m wide screen, 55" displays and LED strips, all running under central control from WATCHNET. New WATCHPAX 4 media players provide display server power. Seven Epson large venue projectors are used in the central edge-blended WATCHOUT show with mapped logo.
