Dataton showcases WATCHOUT and previews new release at ISE copy

Dataton will highlight its WATCHOUT show composer software and its latest range of media servers at ISE 2023. Visitors will also get the first glimpse of an upcoming major release of WATCHOUT.

Dataton CEO, Lars Sandlund, said: “WATCHOUT has a broad customer base built up over two decades and innumerable successful applications worldwide. At ISE, we’ll be demonstrating existing key features in the system and also previewing the next chapter in WATCHOUT.”

The features previewing at ISE include a powerful new video and audio engine, HDR playback, color space management and a remote-content collaboration platform for a shared, streamlined workflow.

Lars Sandlund said: “Every show is a product of teamwork. The new asset manager in WATCHOUT will mean creative teams and show programmers can work together more efficiently. Assets created offsite by the design studio can be uploaded and dropped straight into a show by the onsite crew, saving time and effort during the critical production phase. What’s more, the software will seamlessly optimize incoming assets, if necessary, to ensure best performance in the show.”

Further features in the new release will be previewed at Prolight+Sound and Infocomm shows later this year.

The WATCHPAX 62 series consists of four performance-optimized 2U media servers offering from four up to twelve outputs. Since the launch in May 2022, the unit has been in high demand, most notably for rental/staging, touringexhibits, and broadcast applications.
