Dataton boosts support of North American market with key appointments
Dataton is expanding its support of the North America market with the appointment of two highly-skilled product specialists, Jim Kellner and Bill Gillette.
Both new team members are well-known names in the AV industry in the US. Jim Kellner is already closely associated with Dataton after almost 30 years working with the brand in the US and internationally. Bill Gillette’s track record includes positions as an independent AV consultant, as well as field application engineer for projector manufacturer Barco. From their bases in Florida and New York, Kellner and Gillette will provide technical and project support to customers in all sectors throughout North America.
“We are delighted to welcome Jim and Bill on board,” said Lars Sandlund, CEO, Dataton. “Both are acknowledged experts in the industry. Together, they will bring an outstanding breadth and depth of knowledge to customers in North America. Having a dedicated local team, as we already have in both India and China, is part of our long-term undertaking to support and develop this important market.”
Jim Kellner is a 49-year veteran of the AV industry with far-reaching experience in field applications, system integration, sales, project management and, most recently, technical support for Dataton users worldwide. Previously the Dataton representative in the US and brand specialist at partner Show Sage, Kellner has unsurpassed knowledge of the products and their applications. He is already a valued resource in the Dataton support team and a long-time moderator on the company’s forum.
Bill Gillette is an AV industry technologist with more than 24 years of hands-on system experience. During his tenure at Barco, he operated throughout the US, providing advanced technical support to system integrators, project consultants, and end-users in commercial, educational and residential AV markets. An expert in display and control technologies, Gillette has also held engineering roles at Projectiondesign and Crestron Electronics.
“We are both passionate about AV technologies and their applications, and look forward to bringing that commitment to supporting Dataton users in North America,” commented Jim Kellner.
