The starter kit consists of four WATCHOUT 3 licenses, the printed manual and the latest software on CD. Great value for money, the kit is ideal for beginners making their first three screen show, or for regular users looking to extend existing systems.

You need one license key for each WATCHOUT display computer and one license key for the WATCHOUT production computer.

To run WATCHOUT in demo-mode only (without display computers), there is no need for license keys.

License key update from WATCHOUT version 1 or 2 to version 3

To upgrade your license key(s), first make sure they all appear in the License Key Manager in WATCHOUT (accessed through the File menu). If you have additional license keys, connect those to your computer and click the "Scan License Keys" button to add them to the list. Once all license keys to be upgraded appear in the list, click the "Copy All as Text" button to copy the license key information to the clipboard. Log in on the LOGIN page and select the upgrade (article number 3152) from the PRODUCTS list. The price per upgrade is shown here. When you reach the "Approve Order" page in the order process, paste the license key info into the license key text field. The text should resemble the example below which shows a single license key.

NOTE: On some systems, the text may not appear when you attempt to paste it. If you run into this problem, first upgrade your WATCHOUT software and then copy the license key information from the new WATCHOUT version, which corrects this problem. Assuming that you install the new version in the same location as the old, all license key information collected should remain available.

Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with your upgrade information. Then select all text in the email containing your upgrade information and paste it into the "License Key Manager" window.

The new license information will appear in the "Pending" column. Connect the license keys to the computer and click "Scan License Keys" to transfer the pending information into the license keys. When successfully stored in the license key, the information is transferred from the Pending column to the Version column. Upgraded license keys can be used with both the old and the new version of WATCHOUT.
